Incident: Accident / DUII Arrest Case: 07N-02586

Suspect: David L Heer, DOB/122557 of Siletz, OR
Details: On 102207, at about 1655 hours, Newport Police Officers were dispatched to a one vehicle roll over accident on Oceanview Dr near NW 14th Street. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had crashed over an embankment, coming to a stop about 20 feet from the roadway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as David L Heer of Siletz, OR. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Stephen Keski, age 57 of Newport. Heer was treated at the scene for a minor hand injury and Keski was not injured. Heer initially refused to identify himself to officers, but after his identity was confirmed, he was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering another Person, and Failure to Carry and Present a Drivers License. In addition, Heer was arrested on a Multnomah County warrant that charged him with DUII. Heer was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with the bail set at $25,000.
