Arrested: Richard J. Grewell, 12/05/1983, Siletz, Oregon Resident
Suspect: WMA, 6'00"/180, bro/blu
Details: On 02/16/07 at about 3:15 AM, Newport Police Officers were dispatched to a reported robbery. Kohlmeier, who is a driver for the Yaquina Taxi Cab, reported he picked up two male subjects at the JC Thiftway in Newport. He gave both subjects a ride to the area of the Newport Cinemas located at the north end of Newport. Once they arrived at the cinemas one of the suspects put a knife to Kohlmeier's throat and demanded his money. After taking an undetermined amount of cash the suspect's fled the area on foot. Through his investigation Officer Dustin Kittel determined Grewell was one of the suspects responsible for the robbery. With the assistance of the Toledo Police Department and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Grewell was arrested and charged with Robbery I and Theft II. He was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a bail of $102,500.00. The other suspect is still at large and the investigation is continuing.
