Driver:                   Dean Adams, Estacada, Oregon Resident

 

Details:                  On May 16, 2008 at about 9:02 a.m., Newport Officer Rick Auborn responded to a traffic crash involving a vehicle that had crashed into the Shilo Café.  Officer Auborn arrived and found a 1984 Ford Van had crashed into the entry way of the Shilo Café.  The impact of the crash caused extensive damage to the building.  The driver of the van, Dean Adams, stated his accelerator malfunctioned causing him to crash into the building.  Adams was issued citations for Careless Driving, violation Driving While Suspended, and Driving Uninsured.
