Arrested:              Sarah E. Parks, 21 years of age, Idaho Resident

                            Devon J. Parks, 25 years of age, Idaho Resident

 

Details:                  On 06-04-08 at about 11:23 p.m., Newport Police Officer Jerry Howe conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle operated by Sarah Parks for a traffic violation.  While investigating the violation, Officer Howe noticed that the bed of the truck contained several items including several sets of tires and wheels and a gas can with a siphoning hose in the can.  Other Newport Officers responded to assist and located a citizen who reported items missing from his truck.  Another citizen reported gas recently siphoned from her vehicle.  Officers located the missing items in the Parks’ vehicle.  During the investigation, Devon Parks fled the scene on foot.  At about 6:47 a.m., Devon Parks was located near a local motel. Again he fled on foot.  He was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

 

Sarah Parks was taken into custody on scene and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail. 

 

Devon Parks was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on charges of Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle, Theft 3, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, Attempt to Elude, and Attempted Escape.  His bail was listed at $75,000.00.

 

Sarah Parks was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on charges of Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle, Theft 3, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.  Her bail was listed at $20,000.00
